Design: Features an outline of Georgia, a peach, and live oak sprigs, symbolizing the state's nickname ("The Peach State") and state tree. The state motto, "Wisdom, Justice, Moderation," is also inscribed.
Minting: Over 939 million Georgia quarters were minted at the Philadelphia (P) and Denver (D) Mint.
Errors and Value: Some 1999 Georgia quarters were accidentally struck on experimental planchets intended for the Sacagawea dollar, giving them a golden hue. These error coins can be worth significantly more. Regular circulated coins are worth face value, but high-grade or error examples can command a premium.
