2 Mid Century Modern Silver Copper Turquoise Inlay Cat Brooches Taxco Mexico

2 handmade Mid Century Modern Silver, Copper, and Turquoise Inlay Cat Brooches.<br><br>Made in Taxco, Mexico. Total weight of the two is 6.9 grams.<br><br>The kitties are two adorable little scatter pins. with turquoise eyes and head tops and paws, and copper bodies.<br><br>From an estate. I bought these little kitties together, they seem to want to stay together, so I am selling them together.<br><br>The brooches in this exact combination of materials are rare. Ones with onyx instead of turquoise, or with no copper are less rare.<br><br>Signed "METALES", and "TMEXICO". There is another marking, but it was not stamped deep enough to be readable. This is the case for both brooches.<br><br>One pin is 1 inch by 0.5 inch. The other is 1 inch by 0.75 inch.<br><br>Excellent vintage condition with age-appropriate signs of wear. There is some tarnishing of the copper and silver, but no verdigris. I leave the choice of polishing them to the buyer. Please see photos for condition details.<br><br>Thanks!
