Discover an authentic piece of Native American artistry with this handmade Jemez Pueblo pot by renowned potter Bertha Gachupin. Measuring 6" high by 5.5" in diameter, this exquisite piece features a polished clay surface adorned with black and tan painted decorations and traditional symbols. The pot boasts a beautiful shape and remains in very good condition, free from chips or cracks. Minor light spots and tiny surface holes are visible, consistent with the original handcrafted creation process. Bertha Gachupin, born 'Thunder Flower' in 1954, is a respected artist from the Zia and Corn Clans, continuing a family legacy of hand-coiled pottery inspired by her grandmother, Persingula Gachupin. Her lineage includes notable potters Marie Romero, Lenora Fragua, Maxine Toya, and Laura Gachupin.
