Antique Kutani biscuit eggshell porcelain canister. Dates to the late 1800s or early 1900s. Rare piece featuring hand-painted moriage style decoration with gold gilding. Four panels depict geisha girls, water, mountains, flowers, and villages.
Dimensions: 8 1/2 inches tall (with lid), 5 1/2 inches deep, 4 to 4 1/2 inches wide at the top, 17 inches in diameter.
