Dakin 1986 Grand Opening Bear<br><br>Pre-owned - from Collector<br><br>This listing is for a white 1986 Dakin 8" Teddy Bear. It is in excellent condition with only a small bend in the paper hang tag attached to the bear. It is an ultra rare item in that it was never sold in any store. This was a give away item at the Grand Opening of the Dakin Building in South San Francisco on May 31 1986. They were given to invited&nbsp;attendees&nbsp;of the event. I know this for a fact as I was an employee of Dakin at the time, I was one of those attendees. It was a lavish event held in a huge outdoor tent. Fully catered and&nbsp;champagne&nbsp;flowing freely it was attended by several hundred invited guests.&nbsp;<br><br>The building itself was a remarkable piece of&nbsp;architecture.&nbsp;Originally&nbsp;nick named the "wedding cake" it was later referred to as the Luke Skywalker building. This seemed especially appropriate after Hitachi&nbsp;built&nbsp;an all black shinning building in the same business park which would be referred to Darth Vadar building. The b
