Amazing vintage 1968 Black Python Small Bag, “Lafitte 9385,” Made by Judith Leiber without signing her name. She was “Lafitte.” Later in the early 70’s she used “Lafitte” along with signing “Judith Leiber” inside. As-Is condition.
Inside is black soft leather, in wonderful shape. The number 9385 may be an individual number on this bag rather than a style number. The gold chain has a 5.5” shoulder harness of python on the outside and leather on the inside, made for comfort.
This bag is 7.5” wide, 6.25” tall and 1.5” thick. A white steel large bead clasp secures the bag closure. One non-zippered inside pocket. Lightly used and in extraordinary good vintage condition for 52 years of age. This is a collectible piece, very Jacqueline Kennedy-ish. This is early Judith Leiber fashion history.
